1.Colourless,transparent oily liquid,b.p.282°C,freezing point 0°C,refractive index 1.516(20°C).

 

2.Soluble with various cellulosic resins,rubbers,ethylenic resins giving a good film-forming,adhesion and water-proofing properties.

 

3.Extensively used as solvent for producing methyl-ethyl ketone peroxide,flurocontaining anticorrosive coatings.

 

4.Plasticizer for resins of cellulose acetate.
